These terms govern enquiries, reservations, stays, transfers, safari activities, and use of Kitumo Mara services.
1. Definitions and scope
These Terms apply between Kitumo Mara, a private safari villa in Kenya, and each guest, booker, agent, or visitor using our services. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Reservations
Reservations are confirmed only when accepted in writing by Kitumo Mara and any required deposit or payment condition has been met. The lead guest must be at least 18 years old and must provide accurate guest and contact details.
3. Payments
Accepted payment methods may include card, bank transfer, M-Pesa, and approved cash payments. Deposit amounts, payment dates, inclusions, exclusions, taxes, and park fees are confirmed on the quote or booking confirmation.
4. Changes and cancellations
Changes are subject to availability, rate differences, supplier rules, and written confirmation. Cancellation terms depend on the rate plan or offer booked. Where a stricter partner, OTA, park, transfer, or activity-provider rule applies, that rule may also apply.
5. Check-in, check-out, and guest conduct
Standard check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM unless agreed otherwise. Guests must respect staff, local communities, wildlife, property, quiet hours, safety instructions, and Kenyan law. Damage, illegal activity, or serious misconduct may lead to removal without refund.
6. Safari activities and transfers
Transfers, game drives, balloon safaris, cultural visits, and other activities may be delivered by Kitumo Mara or independent operators. Guests must follow guide instructions and carry suitable travel and medical insurance. Wildlife and weather conditions are outside our control.
7. Liability
We take reasonable care in providing accommodation and arranging services, but liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by Kenyan law. Guests are responsible for personal belongings, travel documents, health requirements, and suitable insurance.
8. Privacy and law
Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy. These Terms are governed by Kenyan law. Disputes should first be raised directly with us so we can try to resolve them fairly.
