January through March is scientifically known as the "Calving Season". Thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes give birth during this time.

Why this matters:
1. Cuteness Overload: You'll see wobbly-legged foals and calves taking their first steps.
2. Predator Action: Where there are vulnerable babies, the big cats follow. This is the best time of year to see hunting action from lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

During peak season (July-Oct), a lion sighting might attract 10-20 safari vehicles. It can feel like a parking lot.

In Green Season (Jan-June), you can often sit with a pride of lions for an hour without seeing another vehicle.

This intimacy with nature is what safari is supposed to be about. No jostling for position, no noise - just you and the wild.
