1. US Dollars: widely accepted. Ensure bills are issued after 2013 (older bills are often rejected by banks).

At Kitumo Mara, you can leave tips in the "General Staff Tip Box" at reception, which is shared equally among the behind-the-scenes heroes (housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen). Give your Guide their tip personally.
Budgeting: For a 4-night stay for a couple, bring about $300-$400 in small USD bills ($1s, $5s, $10s, $20s) to cover all tips comfortably.
