While Kitumo Mara offers exceptional wildlife viewing year-round, the peak season coincides with the Great Migration (July to October). However, the Green Season (November to June) offers lush landscapes and fewer tourists for a more intimate experience.
How long is the transfer from Nairobi to Kitumo Mara?
The ground transfer from Nairobi to Kitumo Mara takes approximately 5-6 hours, including a comfort stop. Optional air transfers are available at an additional cost and take approximately 1 hour.
What should I pack for my safari?
We recommend lightweight, neutral-colored clothing (beige, khaki, olive), a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or sweater for evenings, and any personal medications.
